Hoxne, near Diss is base for newly launched P&P Automotive business
A new car repair and recovery business has been set up in Hoxne.
P&P Automotive is the brainchild of William Peacock, who has more than 16 years experience in the industry.
“I’ve started the business from nothing, but, before this, I have always been employed by other garages,” said Mr Peacock.
“I’ve worked in the industry since I left school, and it’s been a dream of mine for a long time to have my own business, so I just decided to give it a go, as I want to secure my children and fiancée’s future.
“I’ve always had a mechanical mindset, like taking things apart and trying to improve them when they go back together. I really like the job satisfaction when customers have the car back and can see what I’ve done.
“I’m currently waiting for my unit to be available to move into, but I’m doing mobile work in the meantime.
“We offer a 24/7 recovery service, including bank holidays. We deal with MoT failure issues and advisories, general servicing, repairs and all mechanical work.
“I’ve got a recovery truck and a Land Rover to help with recovery and roadside assistance.”
Mr Peacock, who covers all of East Anglia for his recovery work, hopes to soon expand the business.
“As soon as the business takes off, we will be looking at expanding our service and adding team members to help out,” he said. “We are looking into converting old vans in to campers and leasing them out in the summertime to holidaymakers.
“We’re a family-run business; we live in Diss and will do our best to help our customers any time of the day or night.
“Our fees are relatively low and, above all, we strive for customer satisfaction to help us grow.
“I chose Hoxne as the unit was close, but also cheap, which allows us to keep costs down for customers.
“The current unit will be temporary until the landlord has made some bigger units on the same premises for us.”
