Popular cake company Bakeaholics, based in Attleborough, seeks another site as it eyes growth

The owner of a popular cake company with thousands of followers on social media is on the hunt for a new place to expand to.

Morgan Lewis, 23, has been running Bakeaholics in Queens Square, Attleborough, since 2021 and opened up a stand in Chantry Place, Norwich, two years later.

After a successful few years, the 23-year-old is looking to further grow her business and is searching for a venue in either Suffolk or Norfolk.

Morgan, who lives in Attleborough, said: “It’s kind of a pinch-me moment right now as I am overwhelmed by how well everything has gone and it’s now knowing what move to make next which is difficult.

“I don’t want to make the wrong choice but I am excited for what the future holds.

“I’m honestly open to any location, whether that be in Norwich, further south or even along the coast.

“The business has been super busy and with this new shop I’d love it to be somewhere people can sit as our Attleborough store only does takeaways.

“If anyone does have any places in mind, please get in touch with us.”

Before opening her first shop, Morgan had been touring markets around East Anglia, in a Bakeaholics van, including towns such as Diss, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds.

Morgan, who has loved baking since she was a child, has built a huge personal brand on social media, with about 80,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok combined.

The passionate baker has come a long way from making treats for her friends at Wymondham College while she was a teenager, to producing content as well as cakes for her loyal customer base.

“Social media is a blessing in disguise and without it we wouldn’t be where we are,” Morgan said.

“The reach it has is huge and we’ve taken it in our stride. It’s helped with marketing and we’ve used it to our advantage, such as behind-the-scenes stuff which people enjoy.

“Thankfully I have an amazing team as well and I’m so grateful for all the support we’ve had so far.”
