Maddie Gingell, Rosie Lewis, Orla Bates and Rosie Mason have approached businesses, parents and staff in order to seek donations to raise money for the two charities.

Maddie said: “Every year the sixth form organises a charity week and, as part of our Year 13 business coursework, we have to run an event.

“It seemed like the perfect idea to combine the two things.

“As a sixth form, we have supported Each for more than 10 years and, this year, we also wanted to support the air ambulance as it has responded to a number of incidents close to our school community.’’

Some of the lots set to go under the hammer include a family photography experience, a tour of St George’s Distillery in Roudham, four hours of tree surgery, various items from Shadwell Stud, a Norwich Theatre Royal voucher, Christmas hampers, home-made cakes and several vouchers for Norfolk attractions including Go Ape and The Thursford Collection.

Local businesses who have donated gifts include The Corn Hall, Photo Elite, Timpson, Flories, DA Brown & Son Butcher and many more.

The auction is being held in the school library on Monday, December 10, at 6.30pm.

Ed Taxil-Webber, a professional auctioneer from TW Gaze, has agreed to be the auctioneer.
