Ram-raid at Debenham Co-op store




The Co-op store in Debenham was targeted by ram raiders in the early hours of the morning.

At 3.33am today (November 12) police were called to reports of a ram-raid in Chancery Lane and discovered a JCB had been used in the attack in which the ATM had been ripped from the store wall.

Police have arrested one person in connection with the raid.

The cash machine was later recovered on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.

This is not the first ram-raid carried out at this store.

In February 2018 a JCB teleporter was used to remove the ATM machine from the store.

The store is currently closed while investigations and repairs are carried out.
