Motorcyclist taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following A1066 crash




A motorcyclist has sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision on the A1066.

The collision happened on the road at Brettenham at 8.28pm yesterday (Thursday, October 3) when it is believed a green Kawasaki motorcycle left the road and collided with a tree.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene including fire, ambulance and air ambulance.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The road reopened at around 2.40am today (Friday, October 4).

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the motorcycle prior to the incident.
