Former BBC Radio 2 DJ Ken Bruce talks about Bruno from Dogs Trust Snetterton on his Greatest Hits Radio show

An icon of the airwaves has proved an old dog can learn new tricks – by highlighting the work of a Snetterton rehoming centre.

Former BBC Radio 2 DJ Ken Bruce name-checked the Dogs Trust as part of a new partnership between the charity and Greatest Hits Radio to find more dogs their forever homes.

During his Underdog of the Month segment last week, Mr Bruce shared the story of Bruno, a one-year-old pug Jack Russell terrier cross, who is seeking a fresh start.

Kelly Smith, manager at Dogs Trust Snetterton, said: “We are so grateful for Ken and Greatest Hits Radio for raising awareness of Bruno.

“He is a fabulous dog who has been in our care a bit too long, so we hope this extra awareness leads to him finding his happily ever after.”

Having arrived at Dogs Trust as a stray, Bruno is looking for a calm environment where he can settle in and adapt to life again. He will need to be the only pet in the home.
