Diss Town manager mark Reeve believes he has finally resolved his concerns over a lack of attacking options as he continues to rebuild his squad.

Ahead of trying to make an immediate return to the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division following relegation last term, the Tangerines this week confirmed the arrival of former Wroxham and Norwich United striker Jamie George as well as the returns to Brewers Green lane of forward Adam Burroughs (Mildenhall Town) and goalkeeper Chris Bird (Dereham Town Reserves).

“We have been pushing on with new signings and bringing in new attacking options was always an important priority,” said Reeve, who has already brought back striker Kyle Downes to the club.

“Jamie is an excellent addition and comes with a really good pedigree.

“He has a bad injury but he is looking to get back on track and he will score goals.

“I don’t know the reasons why Adam left before but is a very good technical player and I think he feels he has some unfinished business here and for me he is ideal to have here.

“Chris will cover the absence of Matt Powley who is travelling until August but I know he is capable at tbis level and the number one spot will be his to lose.”

n The club will be hosting Norwich United as part of their Open Day tomorrow with free entry from 1pm with activities taking place before kick-off at 3pm.

n Diss Town have been drawn away in the FA Cup and FA Vase, see page 52.
