Pursehouse wins gold at the Indoor Championships

South Lopham’s Katie Pursehouse won gold in the long jump at the Keith Ward Indoor Athletics Championships on Sunday.

The 16-year-old’s jump of 4.37 metres helped her claim the top prize in the under-20 ladies’ category, and won silver in the 60m with a time of 8.6 seconds.

The Diss Sixth Form College student also competed in the triple jump and clearing 10m, and is ranked 17th in the United Kingdom for her age category.
