Ben Wilby was on top form again to secure double delight in Diss and District Angling Club matches this week.

His first victory came at Tunmore Lakes, where eight anglers competed, with his mixed bag weighing in at 14lb 15oz proving enough to clinch first place ahead of Colin Lea with 10lb 15oz of mainly carp and John Mears was with 6lb 6oz.

On Saturday, fishing took place at Monks Hall and again it was a Wilby who took the honours as Dordy Wilby netted victory, finishing with a haul of 4lb 9oz to beat off competition from Mark Johnson, whose all roach catch of 3lb 7oz was enough for second, ahead of Lea in third again, with 2lb of Roach.

On Sunday, the club travelled to Hnderclay Lakes to fish Lake Arthur and Ben Wilby completed a memorable weekend for the Wilby, finishing with a mammoth haul of 85lb, to finish way ahead of his rivals.

Andrew Mears finished second, weighing in 53lb 10oz, with Jimmy Ellis fishing third with a total of 53lb 6oz.
