Harleston Town's attacking midfielder Scott Roberts exits club




Long-serving Scott Roberts has left Harleston Town ahead of their return to the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.

The popular attacking midfielder has been a key competent of the club's success over the last six seasons, racking up 170 league appearances, from which he scored 83 goals.

Roberts was part of the side that won the Anglian Combination Premier Division title and Sterry Cup double in 2017/18, as well as the First Division Knockout Cup the following campaign.

Joint Harleston boss Nicky Howell said: “We’d like to thank Scotty for his many seasons with us.

"He scored some spectacular and important goals for us and leaves as a club legend. We wish him the best for whatever comes next.”

Roberts has previously played for current Step 4 club Dereham Town, who are managed by ex-Harleston boss Adam Gusterson.
