Framlingham Town looking to go 'on a little run' in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North
Framlingham Town manager Liam Abraham is keen to see his side go ‘on a little run’ during a key sequence of upcoming games.
Last Friday’s 5-3 home defeat at the hands of Debenham LC has left the Castlemen languishing down in 18th after a tough start to life back in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
However, beginning with tomorrow’s trip to 12th-placed Sheringham (3pm), Abraham’s men now have a handful of fixtures against sides that are within touching distance in the table.
And the boss is hoping that the players grasp the opportunity to kickstart their campaign with both hands.
“We were disappointed against Debenham, who are going well, but we have come away from that gutted to lose it,” said Abraham, who was speaking after his side’s 5-1 defeat to Ipswich Town Under-18s on Tuesday evening (report on page 44).
“That is where we place ourselves – being upset to lose to a team riding high shows what we have got and we certainly do not see ourselves where we are now.
“When you look at the league, going on a little run does make a big difference.
“Picking up the odd point or result away from home and then winning your home games, that is the key.
“We have got teams in and around us over the next month so it is an important time.”
The reverse fixture with Sheringham on October 5 ended in a 2-2 draw.
