Harleston Town re-sign Lawrence Cheese from Stalham Town ahead of Step 6 return

Harleston Town's joint bosses Nicky Howell and Jon Abbott have started preparations for life in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North by bringing Lawrence Cheese back to the club.

The forward, who has arrived from Stalham Town, is the first addition at Harleston since confirmation of the club's promotion to Step 6 last month.

Cheese is a well known figure at Harleston, having played a key role in their double-winning campaign of 2017/18.

He then followed that up in the First Division North by scoring 25 goals from 34 appearances – helping Harleston to win the First Division Knockout Cup in the process.

And before the 2020/21 campaign was curtailed early due to Covid-19, Cheese had found the back of the net 13 times from 17 outings for Stalham in Division One of the Anglian Combination League.
