Attleborough Boxing Club member Milo Clay missed out on national glory after suffering a quarter-final defeat at the England Youth Championships.

The 17-year-old became the club’s first ever male county champion after clinching a unanimous points decision against Lewis Meason to be crowned Eastern Counties Youth champion earlier this month to seal his place at the national championships in County Durham.

However, Clay could not repeat his success among the field of eight challenging for under-60kg national honours as he suffered a defeat to eventual finalist Tony Vincent from Woking Boxing Club.
