What a gem: Garboldisham village store is one of the best
A village store has been named as one of the best in Britain by Country Life Magazine.
Garboldisham village store and post office was taken over in 2014 by Robbie and Kelly Starling, who previously worked in the diamond industry.
“We are elated and couldn’t be prouder,” said Mr Starling.
“We came from completely different backgrounds when we took over and it’s amazing that we’ve been recognised for our work here.”
Robbie and his wife Kelly pride themselves in selling local produce from Diss and surrounding areas such as cakes and pastries from Wendy’s and Wooster’s Bakery.

“We reinvent ourselves, we don’t just stand still. We are always on the lookout for new, exciting produce,” said Mr Starling, 52. “You got to keep on top of your game.”
On Saturdays visitors can buy sourdough bread, croissants, pain au chocolate and Piccolo coffee at the store.
