VIDEO: Police called to man in underpants juggling knives on a ladder in King’s Lynn
A knife juggler caused a stir in Lynn at the weekend as his act appeared to attract the attention of the town’s police.
A post made on the King’s Lynn Police Twitter account at around 1.30pm on Saturday said they were dealing with a male outside the Argos store in New Conduit Street, who was in his underpants and up a ladder juggling knives.
A further post then indicated they had been alerted to the performance by CCTV operators.
But, yesterday, a Norfolk Police spokesman said their inquiries showed it was a genuine artistic performance.
She said: “We cannot see a call that’s been made to us reporting any concerns about the act.”
Asked if the force had weekend patrols in the town centre, she added: “There is a dedicated team of one Beat Manager and PCSO’s who work the town centre all of the time, including weekends.
“We also supplement the team with additional staffing, including plain clothes patrols, in the town centre when the need arises.”
Our video shows part of his act.
