Author Mike Woodhouse set to release debut novel The Gypsy Code
Mike Woodhouse is releasing his debut novel based on 17 years of his eventful life and Diss.
The 48-year-old tells a story of hide-and-seek in a violent underworld in his book The Gypsy Code, which will be released in April.
“I’ve got mixed feelings about the book release,” said Mike. “It’s confessional, so some folk might disapprove of some of the things that happened, but hard choices were made in hard times.”
The Gypsy Code is about a man who had everything and then lost it one day when he caught a group of travellers stealing from his warehouse.
A car chase, petrol bombing and court case later, everything had changed.
“I’ve always enjoyed reading and, after such an eventful time, it seemed like a good idea to write a book about it,” said Mike. “I felt it was a story that was worth telling.”
The book will be released on April 4.
