East of England Co-op top open in East Harling
Regional retailer, the East of England Co-op, has announced it will be opening a new food store in East Harling.
The news comes after the supermarket chain successfully acquired the East Harling Village store on Market Street.
From Monday, November 1, a temporary shop space will be created for customers to use whilst the East of England Co-op remodel the remainder of the store in time for Christmas.
With the East Harling store having once been owned by the former Thetford Co-operative Society, Roger Grosvenor, joint chief executive at the East of England Co-op, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to be bringing a member owned co-operative back to the village.
"We’ll be working hard over the coming weeks to deliver a store that the community can be proud of."
The temporary store space will be open Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 9pm, and Sunday 8am to 8pm.
