Diss business hub welcomes another new shop run by a local entrepreneur

A popular independent plant shop is preparing to move to the Mere Street shared business space called Octagon Craft Gallery in Diss.

Ell’s Corner, which was set up by Ellie Gardner in 2020 and had been based in St Nicholas Street, is moving to the shared craft and business space at 35E Mere Street tomorrow.

“It’s a lovely community-run shop in Mere Street opposite Aldi that has a few smaller businesses making up one shop, and I’m really excited to be a part of that,” said Miss Gardner.

“I have missed the shop since having to temporarily close due to lots of things I had going on at the time. With trying to find a house as well, I wasn’t able to juggle everything.

“I am hoping that with the community-run shop being more central, there will be more foot fall, plus a lovely group of people who also have their records, artwork, sweet treats and drinks sold from there.”
