Banham Zoo welcomes all for an Easter egg on the wild side

An eggs-traordinary twist on a normal egg hunt has been taking place at Banham Zoo over the Easter holidays.

The popular attraction laid five giant inflatable eggs around the Kenninghall Road site for families and individuals to find.

And when not tracking down tortoise, snake, flamingo, vulture and penguin eggs, visitors were treated to live stage shows, a zoo fun fair and expert-led talks.

Joshua Hunter-Harl, sales and marketing director at the zoo, said: “Easter has been a wild success. It has been fantastic to see so many happy families enjoying the zoo and taking part in the egg hunt.

“We have welcomed everyone to come and learn about our animals and the important work we do. As a conservation charity, every ticket that was purchased directly supports the care of our animals and our global conservation efforts.”

Run by the the Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA), Norfolk’s premier zoo, has been running a special offer over the Easter holidays, with children admitted for free.

It has lead to more than 20,000 people visiting Banham and its sister site, Africa Alive.
