Works to improve the pedestrian crossing near the leisure centre on Victoria Road, Diss will start on Monday November 5 and will take up to 2 weeks to complete.
The crossing is being upgraded to become a shared use pedestrian and cycle crossing.
Works will be completed under two-way traffic signals and a temporary road closure is in place for Sunday November 18 between 7am and 7pm for the surfacing works.
An official diversion route will be in place on this day.
"Norfolk County Council thanks everyone for their patience while this pedestrian crossing improvement work is carried out," said a spokesman.
