Man dies and teenager arrested after collision on A11 Norwich Road, Besthorpe

A man has died and a teenager arrested after a collision on a key road.

Officers were called to the A11 Norwich Road, Besthorpe, at 12.48pm yesterday following reports of a black Ford Puma ST colliding with a man standing outside a vehicle.

The road was closed while emergency services, including ambulance and air ambulance, attended the scene — however, the man died at the scene.

A teenager driving the Ford Puma was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released on bail until December 5.

The road reopened at around 10pm.
