Overlooking the countryside, The Little White Lamb farm in West Harling is a hidden gem.

Olivia Shave and husband Justin recently opened an artisan studio to celebrate the talent and craftsmanship within Norfolk and Suffolk.

Primarily an outlet to sell their lamb meat, The Studio also sells arts and crafts from more than 50 crafters, including several from East Harling, Banham and Carleton Rode.

On sale are items such as ceramics, hand-crafted knives, fine art drawings, jam, honey, woodwork and all bi-products of sheep, such as wool and sheepskin.

Bi-products of sheep, such as wool and cushions are also sold.

“We are conscious of educating and enticing others to understand our culture of farming and to enjoy the countryside with respect,” said mum-of-two Olivia. “We would like to educate the public of our ethos to utilise everything that this animal gives us.”

Olivia, who is passionate about rare breeds, also cooks and offers ready meals, such as lamb shanks and moussaka and hopes to provide a delivery service and online shop.

The pair started their farm with five orphan lambs five years ago, growing to 29 ewes and more than 50 sheep now. They are planning various events for the future, such as open lambing, meet the maker days and an open studio to give the public hands-on experience in spinning, weaving, pottery and photography.
