Man’s body found in River Waveney

Norfolk Police have confirmed the body of a man was found in the River Waveney yesterday (Tuesday. April 21).

With assistance from the Fire and Rescue Service, the body was recovered from the river in Diss, shortly before 6:30pm.

At this time, while officers are treating the death as unexplained, it is not believed to be suspicious.

A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.
