Man faces charges of robbery including at Newmarket bank and travel agents
A 52-year-old man from Newmarket has appeared before a judge at Ipswich Crown Court accused of six offences including robbery at a bank and travel agency.
Joseph Walker, of St Marys Square, is charged with robbery, two offences of possessing a bladed article in a public place and one of threatening unlawful violence following an incident at Premier Travel in The Guineas Shopping Centre on November 17.
Walker is also charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm following an incident at Lloyds Bank in High Street on the same day when it is allegedover £2,000 was stolen.
On Tuesday Judge David Goodin told Walker, who appeared via a prison video link, that a plea and case management hearing would take place on February 19 next year.
Judge Goodin said that Walker would continue to be remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
