Knettishall Heath hosts family-fun with Easter egg hunt

Families had an Easter Saturday filled with fun, thanks to a trail and crafting activities set up on Knettishall Heath.

Dozens of families took part, enjoying the outdoor space and exploring nature while hunting for Easter eggs.

Learning officer Lauren Mack said: “I started in the role three-and-a-half years ago and I wanted to set up events like this to show the wildlife we have on offer here at the heath and to help families connect with nature.

“We included nature-based craft activities in the trail and explained what an amazing place Knettishall Heath is, while giving visitors the opportunity for some Easter fun.

“We have our semi-wild ponies here, which are an important part of supporting our biodiversity, but we also have woodlarks, skylarks, ground-nesting birds and other species.

“We had lots of people come along and get involved in what was a really memorable day.”
