Central Suffolk and North Ipswich MP Dr Dan Poulter has stepped down as a health minister.
Dr Poulter, who was returned as a Conservative MP with an increased majority at the General Election on Thursday, told the BBC he wanted to continue his work as a part-time doctor, and had to decide between ministerial work and medicine.
He was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health in September 2012.
Prime Minister David Cameron has been shuffling his cabinet since his majority win last week.
Yesterday, the Diss Express reported South West Norfolk MP Liz Truss was to continue as Secretary of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs, a role she was handed in July 2014.
