McClean is victorious at Diss Angling Club's meeting on Tunmore Lakes




Chairman Stuart McClean was top rod at Diss Angling Club’s match at Tunmore Lakes.

Fishing from peg 5, McClean (20lb 1oz) caught carp on the far bank to finish just 1lb ahead of Dordy Wilby in second place.

Meanwhile, Andrew Mears won the match on The Mere with 37lb made up of five carp, all caught in the last two hours of the match using the method feeder from peg 15.

Ben Wilby was second, fishing close in with a mixed bag for 27lb 9oz and Keith Rodwell was third with 12lb 11oz, fishing from peg 17.

* Diss Angling Club is hoping to attract more junior members after a successful summer.

During the summer holidays more than 100lb of fish were caught, which was an increase from the previous year. There is another junior meeting on The Mere on October 23.
