Guy Hayes takes over as manager of Thurlow Nunn League First Division North side Debenham LC

Guy Hayes has been confirmed as the new manager of Debenham LC.

The club announced on Twitter yesterday that the former Team Bury boss, who had been assistant to former manager Leon Moore, had been given the job.

The club tweeted: "Debenham LCFC are pleased to announce that Guy Hayes will take over as the first team manager.

"Our thanks to everyone who has applied. We wish Guy the very best of luck for his future here."

Hayes had been in interim charge of the Hornets for their last two games, a 3-2 defeat at Swaffham Town on January 5 and a 3-1 reverse at home to Downham Town last Saturday.

Debenham sit in 11th place in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North table and return to action when they host Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves on January 26.
