Diss Town sign former Harleston Town striker Owen Betts

After Saturday's season-opening 5-1 thrashing of Wisbech St Mary, Diss Town have been further boosted by the arrival of Owen Betts.

The forward ended the previous campaign with neighbouring Harleston Town, for whom he scored eight goals in nine appearances.

And Betts showed he had not lost the clinical touch while turning out for Diss in last week's 4-1 friendly win over Westerfield United, scoring twice.

Betts is set to be included in manager Jon Abbott's squad for tonight's Thurlow Nunn League First Division North encounter against Debenham LC at Brewers Green Lane (7.45pm).
