Diss Town move Norfolk Senior Cup to avoid clash with Prince Philip's funeral
Diss Town's Norfolk Senior Cup tie at home to Bradenham Wanderers has moved to Friday evening.
The second-round tie had been due to take place behind closed doors at Brewers Green Lane on Saturday afternoon.
However, all elite and grassroots sport is expected to pause on Saturday afternoon to ensure it does not clash with the funeral of Prince Philip, which will take place St George's Chapel at 3pm. The Duke Edinburgh died on Friday at the age of 99.
And following consultation with Norfolk FA, the Tangerines have now opted to host their encounter with lower-league Bradenham a day earlier, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Due to the current government guidelines and restrictions, no supporters will be able to attend the game.
