Framlingham Town manager Liam Abraham admits his side are in a Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division relegation battle
Liam Abraham is not burying his head in the sand about Framlingham Town’s prospects for the rest of the season, as he is already thinking about a relegation battle.
His comments follow the side’s 2-1 home defeat to Walsham-le-Willows in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division on Friday night to see them lose by the odd goal in their last three league outings.
And on Friday night, the Castlemen held the key to the game with the majority of possession and territory, but were undone by some clinical play from their visitors in attack.
“I’m really disappointed with the result,” he said. “But not the performance.
“I’m at risk of repeating myself because it’s the same story every week, but I thought we were superb for large periods of the game – and the opposition manager agreed; he shook my hand at the end and said ‘that was daylight robbery’.
“So it’s tough to take. We just have to believe and keep going, but I think it’s going to be like this for a lot of the season, there’s going to be a goal or two in it in each game.
“I think we are going to be down near the bottom and we are going to have to fight to stay in this league. We’re doing everything right but results are not on our side.
“Who knows what can happen, if we go on a run things can change, but we know relegation is a risk; it’s on the table.”
