Ryan Fuller enjoying responsibility of being relied upon to score goals for Diss Town
Ryan Fuller has made a positive start to life at Diss Town, and he is hoping that continues right the way throughout the season.
The summer signing – formerly of Wroxham, Gorleston and Harleston Town – has found the back of the net on seven occasions for the Tangerines, who occupy second spot in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North, one point off leaders Downham Town.
It is still very much early days, but Fuller is confident that if he can keep up that sort of form, the Brewers Green Lane faithful will be in for a good season.
“I enjoyed it at Wroxham last year and it was a hard decision to leave, but Diss is a big club and a lot of my friends are here,” he said.
“They have signed me to score the goals to get them where they want to be and I have to make sure that is the case – I like that sort of responsibility.
“Four teams are going up this year and that seems to have sprung the division into life.
“A lot of teams are going to fancy their chances of promotion so it will not be easy, but with the calibre of player we have it would be travesty if we are not in contention.
“I would like to get something between 20 and 25 goals this season. If a team has a striker getting that many goals, you will win more games than you lose and that gives you a good chance.”
