Former Norwich City and Cambridge United player Danny Crow appointed Harleston Town manager

Harleston Town have turned to a former professional footballer to fill their managerial vacancy.

The Wilderness Lane-based outfit have been on the look out for a new boss since Nicky Howell announced his intention to step down after guiding the team to glory in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North play-offs earlier this month.

And the job has now been taken on by former Norwich City, Peterborough United and Cambridge United frontman Danny Crow.

After dropping out of the professional game the 36-year-old turned out for a number of non-league clubs, including Lowestoft Town, AFC Sudbury, Mildenhall Town and Norwich United.

He has now taken his first steps into management, with Harleston having recently been confirmed as members of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division next season.
