Diss Golf Club Ladies clinch Suffolk County Stearn Trophy with win over Felixstowe

Continuing the great success of Diss Golf Club Ladies’ section in the Suffolk County matches this year, a team from the club were triumphant in the final of the Suffolk County Stearn Trophy earlier this month.
The final was held at Stowmarket Golf Club, where the side from Diss got the better of their Felixstowe counterparts.
* More than 100 members took part in the annual mixed Stableford competition, which was played at Diss Golf Club and hosted by club professional Nigel Taylor.
The scores returned on the day were very close in the top dozen players.
Michael Draper was the overall winner with 42 Stableford points, while the leading lady was Jane Izod, who returned a total of 36 Stableford points.
