Diss ace Fiske enhances chances of National Hot Rod glory

Diss Driver, Danny Fiske, has further improved on his place on the grid for this year’s forthcoming National Hot Rod Championship of the World at Foxhall Stadium in Ipswich in July.

Going into round eight at Hednesford, Fiske sat mid–pack in the qualification, but a fantastic series of outside passes saw him take the Hednesford Grand Final and a host of points going into round nine at Northampton Raceway on Good Friday, which he was subsequently forced to miss through illness.

However, by Easter Monday, Fiske had recovered and despite the best efforts of Storm Kate – swept all before him again to post another Grand Final win, and, having ‘played his Joker’ before the meeting, meant another haul of pivotal points was gained.

Fiske is aiming to follow in the footsteps of his father, Derek, who is a former Hot Rod World Champion having taken the title in 1975 and prior to that was a four time British Superstox Championship title holder.

The Nimbus/Meede/DP Fiske motorsports Vauxhall is currently the car to beat in the National Hot Rod Series, with just four rounds left to go.
