Diss Town striker Matt Blake confirms his departure from the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North club
Matt Blake has announced his departure from Thurlow Nunn League First Division North club Diss Town.
The 34-year-old joined the Tangerines in December last year, after becoming a free agent following his exit from Premier Division outfit Ipswich Wanderers.
The former Leiston and Stowmarket Town striker arrived at Brewers Green Lane hoping to help Diss in a late bid to make the First Division North play-offs this season.
Blake scored four goals in 10 appearances during his three-month stint with the Tangerines, and was on target in their 3-3 draw at Swaffham Town on Saturday.
The draw left Diss in 12th place in the table, 13 points adrift of the top five and with only seven games left to go.
Mark Sutcliffe and Matt Coote's side are without a game this weekend and return to action at home to second-placed Downham Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
