Woman dies after fatal collision in Stoke Ash




A woman has died following a serious road traffic collision on the A140 in Stoke Ash.

Police were called by the Ambulance Service at 5am this morning (Monday, July 6), to reports of a collision between a silver Volkswagen Golf and a white Peugeot Boxer van, near to the junction with Church Lane.

Fire crews were also required to extract the three occupants of the VW Golf and the driver of the Peugeot Boxer van, who was the sole occupant of that vehicle.

A woman aged in her 20s - who was a rear seat passenger in the VW Golf - sadly died at the scene.

The male driver and male front-seat passenger of the VW Golf both sustained potentially life-changing injuries and have been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.

The man who was driving the van has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment, having also sustained potentially life-changing injuries.

The road was closed in both directions whilst a collision investigation took place, but reopened again at 2.45pm.

Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone driving in the area prior to it and who may have captured any dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference CAD 48 of 6 July.
