Winfarthing Norwich City fan enjoys ‘amazing day’ at Wembley
It was Wembley delight for one Winfarthing resident, who joined nearly 40,000 other Canaries as Norwich City clinched an instant return to the Premier League.
Goals from Cameron Jerome and Nathan Redmond in the first half saw City overcome Middlesbrough 2-0 on Monday, in a game worth a potential £120 million to the victors.
Angela Sharpe (pictured) lives in Heath Road with Ipswich Town-supporting husband Neil, who the Yellows defeated in the play-off semi-finals.
They both have season tickets for their respective teams.
Mrs Sharpe told the Diss Express: “It was amazing, it really was.
“The atmosphere was incredible and I have not experienced anything like that as a Norwich supporter before.
“I don’t think Neil would have watched the game but he said he was happy for me.”
