Watch: Shoppers queueing outside Tesco in Diss get a surprise as an adorable family of ducks stroll by
Shoppers in Diss were given some light relief as they queued outside a supermarket last week - when a family of ducks strolled through the car park.
As people waited outside the Tesco superstore on Victoria Road last Thursday, a mother duck plodded through the car park, followed closely by around a dozen ducklings.
Lindsey Chapman, who managed to capture the footage on her phone, said: “We decided to queue for Tesco early before the store opened.
“We were all standing two metres apart, and then we started to move slowly forward.
“We got near the front when we noticed the traffic had stopped to let Mrs Duck and her family cross the road.
“It was a really light hearted moment - she looked as if she was heading to the join the queue.”
As cities and towns across the country have been unusually quiet during the lockdown, sightings of wildlife roaming the empty streets have become increasingly common.
