The Manor House pub in Wortham set for £245,000 refurbishment as search for new tenant continues

A Wortham pub, which has been vacant since November 2020, could be set for a £245,000 refurbishment as its search for a new tenant continues.

The Manor House pub, formerly the Dolphin in Bury Road, is currently advertised on the Star Pubs website.

A spokesman for Star Pubs said: “Subject to recruiting a new licensee, we plan to undertake a major upgrade of The Manor House to create a warm and welcoming village pub, serving great food.

“The exciting refurbishment will give the pub a more modern country look and feel, and will include a top-to-toe interior redecoration and installation of new furniture, lighting and flooring.

“The exterior of the pub will also be redecorated, with new signage, seating, a pergola and festoon lighting added.”

The pub, which is said to be able to cater for 240 covers and was previously a Thai restaurant, has a rental price of £30,214 a year.
