VIDEO: Children swim with a mermaid at Diss Leisure Centre

Dreams came true for youngsters this week when they had the chance to swim with a real-life mermaid.

Hannah Pearl visited Diss Leisure Centre on Wednesday for a fun session with a handful of lucky children.

Miss Pearl (real name Hannah Griffiths) is a Miss Mermaid UK 2017 pageant finalist and studied at the Philippine Mermaid Swimming School.

South Norfolk councillor Yvonne Bendle said: “What better way to encourage a love of swimming than by giving children the chance to meet and swim with a mermaid?

“Our fun sessions are a great way to keep children active over the Christmas holidays and having Hannah Pearl there made it extra special.”
