Police appeal for witnesses after two injured in Snetterton road collision

A woman has sustained serious head injuries after a road collision in Snetterton on Friday.

Officers from Norfolk Constabulary were called at about 4.14pm to reports of a collision between a white Ford Fiesta van and a white DAF HGV.

The white Ford Fiesta van was turning right onto Heath Road, outside the racing circuit, and the white DAF HGV was travelling along Heath Road towards East Harling, when the two vehicles collision.

Two female occupants of the van were injured as a result of the collision. The driver sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s for treatment. The passenger suffered two broken ribs.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended and was reopened about 6.30pm.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident.
