Trial opens on man who attacked ex-wife with knife near Long Stratton




The trial of a man charged with attacking his former wife with a knife, leaving her with serious injuries, has opened.

Jonathan Creak, of Westland Way in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday.

Jurors heard that on July 6, his ex-wife, Rhiannon Creak, was found with serious injuries in Mill Lane, Hardwick.

Investigating officers subsequently tracked down Creak in Cambridgeshire, where he was arrested. He was charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent, which he denies.

The 50-year-old has admitted charges of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place.
