Attleborough’s first farmers’ market proves to be big hit

Food producers from far and wide took part in a town’s inaugural farmers’ market.

Organised by Attleborough Town Council following the success of its Thursday markets, it was held in Queen’s Square on November 2.

Town mayor Taila Taylor said she felt it had been a big success and something to build on in the future.

“We hope that it will grow and thrive,” she said. “12 stallholders have already booked their place for the next one on December 7, which is great.

“I would like to thank the council for enabling this wonderful addition to the town.

“By offering free pitches at both our weekly Thursday charter market and this one, we hope to entice even more traders and footfall into the town to support the local economy.”

The farmers’ markets will be held on the first Saturday of every month.
