The White Horse in Badingham open for business despite fire

The White Horse in Badingham is today open for business despite a fire at the 15th Century coaching inn yesterday.

The incident happened, in Low Street, at about 1.10pm.

Fire appliances from Debenham, Saxmundham, Halesworth and Leiston attended, in response to reports of smoke issuing from the building.

A spokesperson for the fire service said the fire measured roughly 15 metres by 30 metres in the upper floor of the premises.

An ambulance was not required.
