Newton Flotman wildlife enthusiast's 70-minute 28-year-old recording is digitally remastered
A wildlife enthusiast has digitised and released a new version of a dawn chorus he recorded almost 30 years ago.
Andrew Flintham, 58, from Newton Flotman, recorded a 70-minute clip of the Brecklands coming to life in 1993, and has now made the recording sharper and clearer using modern technology.
Mr Flintham, a musician, voice-over artist and actor, said: “Brecklands Dawn Chorus is a unique recording that was made in just one take, very early one morning in beautiful woodland in Norfolk.
“You can hear an array of birds, within an uninterrupted, whole chorus and, for many of us who spend much of our time in front of computers, it offers a unique escape from our busy and stressful lives.
“Now the track has been digitalised, every moment of birdsong is clearer than it was before. You can even hear the sound of a muntjac deer close by and a bumble bee flitting past.
“After the year or so we have all had, with many of us stuck in our homes, I felt it was the ideal time to release the track in this new format.”
