Teenage pedestrian left in ‘serious but stable condition’ after collision on A140
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A140 which has left a teenage boy with serious head injuries.
Officers were called to A140 Ipswich Road, at Saxlingham Thorpe, at 3.25pm yesterday following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle.
The incident involved a red and black Lexmoto motorcycle which collided with a teenage boy who was crossing the road.
He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The rider of the motorcycle, a boy in his late teens, was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence of drugs.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and has since been released under investigation.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manor of driving of the motorcycle prior to the collision.
