South Norfolk Council urges local business urged to apply for support grants
Local businesses which have been affected by the latest lockdown are being encouraged to apply for support grants from South Norfolk Council.
The authority has made two grants available to all eligible businesses within the district.
Up to £3,000 has been made available through the Local Restrictions Support Grants for businesses which have had to close under the new national restrictions and are registered to pay business rates.
Additional funding will also be available via an Additional Restrictions Grant to provide further support to businesses over the coming weeks and months.
This funding will support some of those firms impacted by the new national restrictions which do not qualify for the Local Restrictions Support Grant, due to not being rated or not legally required to close.
Lisa Neale, cabinet member for South Norfolk Council, said: “Supporting the local economy is a priority and it’s more important than ever that businesses get the help they need.”
