Budgens Service Station in Harleston crowned the best in the region at Forecourt Retail Awards

A Harleston petrol station team has been crowned the best in the region at a national awards ceremony.

Budgens Service Station, in London Road, was named Best Forecourt for the Midlands at the the annual Forecourt Retail Awards last month – with bosses heading down to Westminster to pick up the trophy.

Director Ben Lawrence said: “Like any good business, it’s all about the staff.

“They are the people on the front line, talking to customers and going the extra mile to meet their needs.

“It’s just a great achievement for all of their hard work - not just over the past few weeks with the petrol crisis, but following Covid, too.

“It’s a great booster for morale, and thoroughly deserved.”

It marks a second successful year for the Harleston Budgens team – who also picked up ‘Best Forecourt Team of the Year’ at last year’s ceremony.
