Dickleburgh Primary Academy awarded British Council's Foundation International School Award
Dickleburgh Primary Academy has been awarded a British Council’s Foundation International School Award for its focus of languages.
The Harvey Lane school, part of the Diocese of Norwich St Benet’s Multi Academy Trust, has been teaching French for four years to its students and now teaches Spanish to Year 2 to Year 6 pupils.
Headteacher Moira Croskell said: “At Dickleburgh, we believe that learning a new language gives our pupils the skills and understanding they need to develop their aspirations and knowledge of the world, as well as understanding their own culture and identity.
“We are delighted to be recognised by the British Council for continuing to develop our pupils.”
The British Council award started in 1999 to recognise those instilling and developing a global dimension into the learning experience of all children and young people.
